IAC Noishield® Run-up Pens are cost-effective in suppressing aircraft noise, and in providing secured test areas. With ease of operation and minimum running costs, they can accept a multiplicity of aircraft with one or several engines in single or multiple modes.
IAC Noishield® Run-Up Pen reduces sound pressure levels of B-1B Bomber to less than 95 dB(A) at a distance of 328 ft (100 m) without affecting engine performance

Highly sound-absorptive Noishield® Barrier Modules, engineered to an appropriate height, developed by IAC for this application, are the key to run-up pen noise-control performance. Also, the facility is designed to accept the thermal structural shock from high mass flow jet engines operating at afterburner temperatures. To enhance the useful life of barrier panels, engineering features have been incorporated to protect the acoustical infill against erosion due to thermal stresses, vibration, and gas flow turbulence.

IAC Noishield® Barrier Modules offer cost - effective solutions for isolating noisy airport areas

Noishield® Run-Up Pens provide 10 to 12 dBA noise reduction and have no adverse effect on engine performance.
IAC Modular Blast Fences are available in "hard" non-absorptive sections or with "soft" sound-absorptive characteristics which help reduce noise build-up.
The sound-absorptive blast deflector design incorporates a structural framework with barrier modules installed to permit thermal expansion. Panels are protected against infill erosion by stainless steel screens and expanded metal deflectors to ensure long life.
Run-ups of fighter aircraft at all power settings in confined locations are facilitated with IAC Blast Fences

Non-absorptive sections are fabricated from formed steel components arranged to direct exhaust gas flow away from critical areas. Recommended for locations where the aircraft will be positioned in close proximity to the blast deflector, these hard sections can be designed to withstand afterburning jet engine blasts exceeding 35,000 lb (15,000 kg) thrust at distances as close-in as 50 ft (15 m).
All IAC Blast Fences are demountable, permitting disassembly for relocation and reassembly without loss of structural or acoustical properties. Depending on desired life expectancy, IAC Blast Fences can be fabricated from either carbon or stainless steel.
